Meet Coach Danny and Orlinda Maforo
Danny and Orlinda Maforo have been married since September 2000 and are blessed with five beautiful children — two daughters and three sons. Together, they have built a home known for fellowship, love, laughter, encouragement, and peace.
Over the years, the Maforo home has become a welcoming place for family, friends, young people, and those in need of support. Many who have visited their home have shared how refreshed, encouraged, and at peace they felt after spending time with the family. For Danny and Orlinda, hospitality is more than a kind gesture — it is a way of demonstrating the love of God both inside and outside the home.
As devoted followers of Jesus Christ, Danny and Orlinda have served in ministry in many ways, including church leadership, Bible studies, Christian organizations, mission trips, and one-on-one mentorship of young believers. Their passion is to encourage people, strengthen families, and help others grow in faith, purpose, and character.
Danny, also known as Coach Danny, is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He serves as a financial leader in the manufacturing industry and brings wisdom, discipline, faith, and practical life experience to his coaching and mentorship.

Walking Through These Doors AND Discovering Grace, and Lasting
Orlinda is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a Master’s degree in Global Health and Planning Management. She currently serves as a Clinical Research Program Manager at a tertiary institution. Her heart for people, excellence in service, and compassion for those in need are central to the Maforo family’s mission.
Together, Danny and Orlinda founded Love Thy Neighbor, a ministry inspired by the commandment of Jesus in Luke 10:25–37. Their desire is to live out the example of the Good Samaritan by responding with compassion wherever they are able to help.
Having lived in both Zimbabwe and the United States, Danny and Orlinda understand that hardship is not limited by geography, culture, or background. Their life experience has deepened their commitment to serving others, building community, and extending a helping hand wherever there is need.
Through The Huddle With Coach Danny, they seek to create a space where people can be encouraged, equipped, and reminded that they are not alone. The Huddle is a place for faith, family, mentorship, wisdom, and meaningful conversations that inspire people to grow and walk in purpose.
